Jessica

A world traveler and adventure seeker, Jessica is always excited to connect with those around her. Photography has been a lifelong love giving her the opportunity to live in New York, London, Paris, Krakow and now Petaluma. Her relaxed spirit and fun approach allows for a great connection with her couples. No two weddings are alike -- and she loves capturing the story that unfolds from the quiet, intimate moments, to the electric energy of the day.

WHERE DO YOU FEEL MOST INSPIRED?

Although I love the outdoors and feel inspired by it, I find most of my inspiration is found in the city. Visiting art galleries, seeing a live music performance, or checking out some amazing architecture, the city is my muse. Being somewhere immersed in rich creative talent is so amazing. Many of times I will find myself thinking about something completely different then my surroundings, working through my own creative ideas. The great outdoors. The world has so much to offer it’s hard to just pick one place. A few places that always get my creative juices flowing are Zion, big island of Hawaii, and Yosemite.

IN WHAT HISTORICAL PERIOD WOULD YOU MOST LIKE TO HAVE LIVED?

Definitely Paris in1920’s when there was an explosion of art and culture. Many of the most influential and monumental art moments happened during this period including; Art Neouveau and Deco design and Surrealism. Mostly though I long for the café community where artists, writers and musicians all came together to discuss ideas. And of course the clothes!

WHAT IS YOUR IDEA OF PERFECT HAPPINESS?

Watching the sunrise lakeside in some remote part of the world camped out with friends. As much as I love cities, I equally adore the great outdoors- the more challenging the location to get to the better. Simple pleasures like drinking a hot chocolate are relished in away I forget when I am home. Long hikes and swimming in gorgeous clear lakes during the day then stargazing at night, this is my idea of perfect happiness.

WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE PETALUMA HANGOUTS?

Renew Yoga is probably my most visited spot in town. I love going to a morning yoga class and letting go of it all. I usually stop by Acre Coffee afterwards; they have the best coffee and treats in town. Whisper Sisters is my go to for drinks with my girlfriends. That said, I moved to Petaluma to be closer to my family and to the ocean. I enjoy driving out to Point Reyes National Park and taking advantage of the numerous hiking trails out there.

WHAT IF I TOLD YOU THAT YOU COULD TRAVEL ANYWHERE RIGHT NOW?

Greenland! It’s been on my bucket list for a few years now. I’ve traveled extensively visiting nearly all of Europe but haven't made it yet to the world’s largest island and the least densely populated place in the world. I want to kayak among the icebergs and whales and trek through the glaciers and grasslands. Seems like the best adventuring yet and I am hoping to go this year.

Go-tos

This is what makes me so grounded and calm. Here I am able to quiet the bustle of life and focus on one thing.

Where to next? I find the more I travel the more places I want to see and people to meet. I am so thankful for all the amazing adventures I’ve had with people in some extraordinary places.

Fika

Basically, fika means to have a coffee in Swedish but it isn’t just a coffee break. It’s a moment to slow down and appreciate the good things in life and to connect with others.

Vieux Carré

First stirred to life in New in the 1930s the Vieux Carré is at boozy, sweet, bitter and smooth—so New Orleans.

COOKING

I look forward to the change of seasons through out the year. We have amazing array of fresh local produce that in California. Cooking is a hobby of mine.

COZY AT HOME

There’s so many adventures to be had, but time at home is equally essential.
